Michael & Shirley started the Ministry of Peace in 1993. It is a teaching and deliverance ministry rescuing the lost and bound from the grip of the devil and bringing forth truths from the Word of God. They have ministered in nursing homes, jails, city parks, churches, hospitals, and in the remote villages of India to name a few. Shirley was baptized with the Holy Ghost and with fire like it says we should be in Matthew 3:11 on May 14, 1995. She was red as a ripe tomato for about 45 minutes and it felt like fire all over her body. Michael has never seen anything like this before or since that day. Shirley has been given a unique gift from God being able to reveal what is in someone's heart. Is this biblical, you may wonder? In 1 Corinthians 14:25 it says, And thus are the secrets of his heart made manifest; and so falling down on his face he will worship God, and report that God is in you of a truth. The verse is talking about prophets revealing secrets by the power of God so others can know He is real. Shirley has been called to be a prophet by God and the Word of Wisdom, the Word of  Knowledge, working of miracles, and discerning spirits are the gifts the Lord has given to her for ministering unto the people. In March of 1995 Shirley had a drunk driver going 45 miles an hour hit her from behind while waiting at a stop light. She suffered severe injuries in her back and had to live with severe pain. She looked to God for answers and His healing touch to make her whole. The doctors told her she would probably either walk with a walker or a cane and be disabled the rest of  her life. June 10, 1995 she was healed miraculously while praying for someone else at a evening meeting. There was a traveling evangelist and her healing was the only one called out that night. Glory to God! Today she does not walk with a cane or a walker and she is in excellent shape. Matter of fact, she went back to have her back checked over by a doctor and he told her she had a back of a sixteen year old. Prior to her being hit by the drunk driver, Shirley had enough of ministry and wanted out because it was becoming difficult with many obstacles stirring at her right in the face. This opened the door for the devil to come and do what he did. The same thing happened to the prophet Jonah when he didn't want to go and preach in Nineveh but when the opposite way to Tarshish. He got swallowed up by a whale and was in the belly of the whale for 3 days and 3 nights. When Jonah repented God got him out of the belly of the whale and Jonah obeyed the call this time. This happened because of disobedience. Shirley has learned a lot since then and knows better to let things get her down to the point of running from her call. The Lord was merciful to her too after she repented and completely healed her a few months later. What a good God we serve!

    Michael was touched by God with the Holy Ghost at a meeting and went flying to the floor without no one ever touching him. While on the floor, the Lord told him to take his wife and go preach my gospel in March of 1995.
