The Ministry of Peace Christian Center is a Full-Gospel Church started in October of 1995. God told Michael & Shirley to start a church in Sheboygan, Wisconsin. The message was to get the people back to the basics of Christianity: prayer, bible study, and holiness; and to have the power of God back to where it belongs, in church. The first building was a store front on Michigan Ave. The second building was another store front bigger than the first on Geele Ave. While at this second store front there was a church for sale down the street. One day when Michael and Shirley were driving past the church the Lord spoke to Michael and said, "I want you to go look at that church." Michael immediately told Shirley what the Lord said to him and they made arrangements to see the church. God had a prophet call Shirley years prior to this and told her about some things that would be happening in the ministry concerning the future. This prophet let us know that the third building would have a exit but wouldn't be an exit and would be near a bathroom. What a word from God! We drove all over the place trying to figure this out by going up and down alleys to see if any buildings had this kind of an exit in the back of it. After days of attempting to find our next building we gave up and believed the only way this building would be found if God would show us where it is. Well when we walked in the church we went to the back where the kitchen is and there was a back door with a padlock on it with a sign saying no exit. I looked out the window and noticed there was about a four foot drop with no back porch. I said, "Shirley, this is the exit not being an exit we have been looking for." And Shirley noticed the bathroom right next to it and said, "yeah, and here is the bathroom right next to it." We knew we found the right building and remembered the prophet told Shirley that we were to offer less money what they were asking and they would accept it. We had no money down but someone the Lord touched donated a piece of land to us years prior to this. We worked out the price with the bishop from California and purchased our own church building with no money down using the land for collateral. After acquiring the church we sold the land within one month's time to a cash buyer. Most of the money from the sale went to paying off the mortgage and we had some leftover to pay for two vehicles for my wife and I. God's timing is always perfect. When we negotiated and purchased the church the person in charge of the sale of the church was gone on a missions trip to Africa. He said when he got back and found out what happened, "I would of never approved this deal if I was here." God knew this and had us go at the right time. Glory to God! We purchased the church in June of 2000 and have been using it as our base ever since.
