Does the Bible Really prove Itself to be True?

The bible is the most misunderstood book in the world because many try to understand the contents like any other book. The bible is not like any other book and can only be understood through the eyes of who wrote it, and that is the Lord Himself.

John 3:3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. Unless a person is born again or born from above, they will not be able to comprehend the Word of God.

1 Corinthians 2:14 But the natural man receives not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

The Word of God is Jesus, the only begotten Son of the living God. John 1:14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth. John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. Revelation 19:13 And he was clothed with a robe dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God.

The book of Zechariah in the Old Testament was written by the prophet Zechariah sometime between 520 – 475 BC. The book foretells of Jerusalem being attacked by all nations and them taking ½ of the city into captivity. Jerusalem was not even a city of Israel until June 11, 1967, because the Arabs controlled it. Matter of fact, Israel was not even an independent nation until May 14, 1948. What is the big controversy in the Holy Land today with the Palestinians? Isn’t it over who gets Jerusalem? Jerusalem is the place the Arabs want in their control because it is a holy place to them. Did you also know most wars are over religious matters?

The war between the Arabs and Jews goes all the way back to Abraham and his two children, Ishmael and Isaac. Ishmael was born first from an Arab (Egyptian) woman named Hagar. When Abraham received a promise from God about having a seed as the number of the stars in the sky he waited and still had no son after 11 years. Abraham was now 86 years old and his wife Sarah was still barren, so she told her husband to take her servant Hagar the Egyptian for his wife to bear him a son. Abraham took his wife’s suggestion and had a son named Ishmael (God hears). Thirteen years later God comes to Abraham and tells him He is now ready to give Abraham his promised son. Abraham knew he went ahead of God and had a son that God didn’t tell him to have. Sarah laughed when she heard this because she was now 89 years old and couldn’t believe she could have a child at this point. God told them to name the child Isaac (laughter) and He would establish His everlasting covenant through him and his seed after him.

The writings of the Muslim religion are called the Koran, supposedly written by Muhammad, their prophet. Muhammad changed the writings of the King James Bible or the true Word of God and said Abraham offered up Ishmael as a sacrifice to God and not Isaac like the bible says.

God is great, He prophesied this thousands of years ago what would happen to Israel, and Jerusalem. If the bible was written by a man, then what do you think the chances of that person being able to name the exact city in the world where conflict will be constant would be? Do you realize how many cities and countries exist in the world today? Some people want proof the bible is true and this cannot be denied. God would have had to of written the bible through the hands of men as they were inspired by the Holy Spirit of what to write – 2 Peter 1:21 For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spoke as they were moved by the Holy Ghost. 2 Timothy 3:16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness.

When people say men wrote the bible, they are partly right, they did write it; but only what was inspired to them by Almighty God.

How do we know the date of 520-475 BC is an accurate date of the book of Zechariah being written? Could it of been written in 1967, the time when Jerusalem was back into the hands of the Israelites? The King James Bible was first published in 1611 and is documented in records proving so. Even if skeptics would not want to believe the prophecy from all the way back to 475 BC, then 1611 would still be 356 years before the year of 1967.

Maybe you have been a skeptic yourself and were listening to the other unexplainable theories of why we are here and how we got here like evolution, which is based on lies, not facts. They teach evolution as fact, but it isn’t factual at all, only speculation, and blanks are filled in by imaginations of those who want to deny there is a God. There are so many holes in their theory; it takes more faith to believe in that, than believing in the bible.

Jerusalem is the city that even Saddam Hussein wanted to capture and put back into the hands of the Arabs. In the days ahead watch and listen as time unfolds the very prophecy of the bible dating thousands of years ago, nations will turn against Jerusalem and Israel. What a mighty God we serve! What more proof do you need? Only God could know such a thing of the future, because He knows all things. 1 John 3:20 For if our heart condemn us, God is greater than our heart, and knows all things.

God wants all people saved, but not every one will believe – 1 Timothy 2:4 Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.
